West Central Fall Bass League - Lake Andrew

November 6th was our final West Central Fall Bass League of the season. The schedule actually ended the week before but since the weather was decent a few people still wanted to fish. We had 5 boats fishing on Lake Andrew and as usual this season the fishing was tough. One boat was able to catch a 5 fish limit but unfortunately they were late coming back to the weigh in so they were disqualified. Only 3 other fish were caught on the day.

1st - Paul 2 4.00 lbs (approximately)

2nd - Andy & Mike 1 2.56 lbs

Big Bass - Andy Nitchals 2.56 lbs

As you can see the DQ ended up working out very well for us but it's still not the way I want to see it happen. It did move us up into the money but I still would have had big bass regardless. Our day was pretty unproductive obviously. We actually went the first 4 hours and 40 minutes of the 5 hour tournament without a bite. At the end of the day we moved back to a weedline area that we had already fished and almost immediately I hooked into a decent bass. Of course I had to lose that fish for no apparent reason but about 2 casts later I was able to connect with the 1 fish we did catch. I was hoping to catch a limit quick in that last 15 minutes but after that the action was done. The one fish came on a watermelon Sweet Beaver fished in the cabbage.
