West Central Bass League - Diamond Lake

Wednesday August 18th was the final regular season night of the 2010 West Central Bass League season. We had 15 teams competing on what turned out to be a pretty good night of fishing on Diamond Lake. There were a lot of fish caught and the weights were very solid as well. Here are the results.

1st - David & Lenny 9.62 lbs

2nd - Kelly & Scott 9.46 lbs

3rd - Joe & Greg 9.40 lbs

4th - Dean & JD 9.26 lbs

Big Bass - Kelly & Scott 3.68 lbs

Even though this was the final regular season night there is still one more night of league fishing this year. The top 10 in the points standings at the end of the year are invited to fish in the Tournament of Champions which will be held August 25th on Norway Lake. The top 4 in the standings will receive payouts based on their point standing throughout the year as well. Here are the top 4 teams on Wednesday nights for the 2010 season.

1st - Ron & Joe 224 points

2nd - Paul & Pete 220

3rd - Andy & Mike Nitchals 215

4th - Kelly & Scott 192

My dad and I were only able to manage a 6th place finish on Diamond Lake with 3 fish for 7.88 lbs. We actually caught 30 or more bass in the 3 hours of fishing but we just didn't come across the quality fish that many other teams did. Most of our bites came by skipping tubes under the docks but I did add our best fish of the night on a Chigger Craw flipped in the reeds.
